I agree, I would definitely go bonkers! Prolonged isolation with no human contact would probably make anyone go mad!

I've seen several stories like this over the last year...it seems to be some sort of trend. The parents think they can just lock the kid away and no one will notice. What's really weird is there are often other children in the house that are treated well...and know about the locked up child. I remember one article of a woman that kept her daughter locked up and one of the older daughters invited a friend over to dinner and the locked up daughter was allowed to sit on the floor while they ate and the mother would throw her food. The rest of the family acted as if it were normal while the guest was horrified. I have no idea what makes ppl do things like this. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

That reminds me of the Non-Fiction story called A Child Called It. People like this have no conscience. And they are definitely not at peace within.

It's difficult for me to believe that there are some people, who will do this sort of thing. I just don't understand why someone could do this to an innocent and helpless little boy. It may just be me, but it's really heartbreaking.

That is a shame. Even if they are his parent, this is a severe crime. one is not allowed to do the same. Where are we heading too? I mean we are going to moon and the thinking is going to well!

We may be heading to the moon, but it seems like we're more concerned about what's out there more than what's in front of our eyes.. And by the way, just because we are going to the moon doesn't mean it's a good sign, haha. I've got one word; Lunatics. ;)

that's so horrible. the kid's gonna have to go through lots of psychotherapy and he must have a heavy load of emotional baggage there then?? i hope he heals his emotional wounds and physical ones if there's any. And the horrible parents should be locked up in jail just to get a taste of their own medicine
