Richard Hamilton (GBR) of McLaren Mercedes has proven itself as a driver to beat during the past 2008 season. With sheer bit of luck he snatched the championship title from would be overall champion Felipe Massa of Team Ferrari. Would he continue his winning streak again in this coming season of Formula1?. Lets find out what Formula1 fans think of this.

You probably mean Lewis Hamilton. Well anyways, Lewis Hamilton is still one of the man to beat but I expect Kimi Raikkonen to once again go for the championship. We can not also discount the fact that somehow Renault can win championship points as proven by Fernando Alonso during the last few races.

Well pardon me for the mistake, Lewis Hamilton not Richard Hamilton, he really is the man to beat this upcoming F1 season. Definite more contenders will speed up there pace to pass him for the title. Team Ferrari is a solid team, they can make things happen again for Kimi Raikkonen, to push for the championship once again. The odds are leveled for now, we wont know if a dark horse will appear amidst the other teams. Alonso did a great job to keep up, hope that he will once again challenge the two top contenders. you've actually got me thinking there because the name Richard Hamilton seems familiar. Can't wait for the Australian Grand Prix. It will surely be an exciting year again.

Yeah,Renault does have a big chance, as long as it can prove the viability of its cars to withstand pressures from the Ferrari's and the Mclaren's. The start of this season in Australia will be the first testing ground for all the teams. What do you think would be a good factor for a team to win championship points, the car or the driver. Thanks for responding.

I seriously doubt Hamilton will retain his championship crown. I feel either Raikonen or Massa will be the overall champion.

It all depends on the driver more than the car to be champion.

Raikonnen and Massa are really strong contenders for the drivers championship. But we may never really know if the cars they drive or luck will be on their side, like what happened in 2008. What do you think can be a major factor to affect the chances of a driver to win the coveted title, would it be the car or the driver himself? Thanks for your response.

The question that came to my mind was; What happened to Mclaren, Kovalainen and most especially with Hamilton, depending champs. There's must something wrong with it. was it the new rule? new car? (I don't know). One more thing that according to the news they were banned or suspended for 3 races. What the heck was that? but the answer the came to my mind as well, was They will find ways.. Im sure they can catch up before the season ends.
