Is this where to go when our discussion has no name

I have seen discussions here and some are not actually about people. So are we posting here because we don't know where to post our discussion or is this suppose to be for posting our discussions about certain people, any people or just for people in general?

hi stirtime! i dunno, i have not really noticed this. as for me, i put my general discussions in life. as in life in general. as for people, i put there discussions about people. i guess that is about it. mylot is not very particular about this anyway. so it is okay. just keep posting. take care! happy mylotting!

Sometimes if I am unsure where to post, I won't post in any category. If you go to "New Discussion" at the top of the page, then scroll down to the bottom, you can post a "general" discussion and I don't believe it goes into any category. Also, there is a category called "Questions & Answers" and another called "Have Discussion on Day to Day Issues" and I will often post into those categories if I am unsure which one I should use.

Thanks Bethany Cool I see those. I usually just go to my interest's and If there is something on my mind I will find the one closest to the subject.

I do that as well, but when I am in question I generally use the Questions & Answers category most often if I'm unsure where to post..

I would think it was a generic area as well, just being that people can cover such a broad area. What sort of discussion did you have in mind? Anora

Thanks Anora, it can be general I was really just wondering, I saw too while looking through the subject interests that we could add our own new interest, if need be, so that's cool. Only there are so many already don't think I could post em all...lol

I started an interest recently called Special Education Teacher because there wasn't one, and it is the job I currently do. So, I think if there is something you don't see and you would like to start having chats about it then it's ok to do so. Heck, I've seen people start some pretty silly interests, so I wouldn't let it stop you. And yes, there are definately a lot of places to post. I don't make it to them all. I have a few places I post often. Happy Mylotting. Anora

I have seen some discussions under really strange categorires. Like ones under cooking...asking for relationship advice. Or ones under Internet...asking for cooking advice. I think people tend to pick broad topics like "People" of "Life" because they feel it will reach the widest audience. Also maybe they currently don't have the correct interest added in their interests lists and they are too lazy to add. Another possibility, they don't know about the general discussion feature.
