Hi Daisy May here I wanted to tell you all about my trip with mom and dad. We went to some place called Reno to see mom and dad's son bring home a little person that mom kept loving on and holding. Well we left one day and took mom's daughter with us so mom sat in the back seat with me in dads truck. We took Petie over to Auntie Barbara's to stay there so he was safe. Mom and I had the back seat and she would put the leash on me and take me for walks when we stopped. We first stopped and it was raining and that was fine. I do not mind the rain. Then when we went up in the mountains it was not high and we hit some stuff called snow. Yes I said snow! At one point mom opened the window and it snowed on me and I hid under mom's seat between her feet. She had to call me out to snap my photo now why do mom's thing it is funny to snap photos when I am afraid or embarrassed? Then there was talk of having to put chains on the truck which is 4 wheel drive. We stopped but they flagged us by. We went so slow, and the snow was so pretty and mom kept having her daughter open the window to take photos. Mom daughter also was getting car sick so she kept opening the window and it was snowing on us. I had my blue sweater on but I was cold so mom covered me up. We finally got to mom's son's house and boy was I glad to get out of the snow and out of the truck. You will not believe what happened next? Mom's son had three cats that kept beating me up. They could corner me and then beat me up. Mom had to protect me from the Oscar the mean one a lot. Oscar would attack me even when I was eating my own food. The I had to stay in and out of a kennel back in Reno for three days. Mom was good to me and kept taking me for long walks. Mom and her daughter even took me out to the country area in Reno to run. I got to stay in a kennel and met 8 other dogs while I was in the kennel. One was a little dog that kept sleeping in a purse, the other where huge giant dogs. They where nice and they did not like the place either. I will tell you most of the other dogs parents kept them in the kennels a long time unlike mom who would come and take me for long walks. The we spent one night in Reno and then the rest of the nights at mom's son's home. Oh no not those mean cats again. I got to sleep with mom when where sleeping at her son's home. I would snuggle under the blankets at night and wake her up when I had to go out to potty. I did get walked on by those darned cats once, why didn't they leave me alone? I liked this part mom would take me for long walks everyday. I walked over a bridge that swag when you walked on it and you could see the water through the slats in the wood. Wow I was afraid the first few times going over the bridge, then I got use to it. I will try to post a photo of Oscar do not believe the photo he is not nice, he is not sweet he would have killed me if it was not for mom. Oh and do not get me started with that crying little person mom was holding. I am glad mom left that thing at she son's home. I had to share mom's lap with that little person. I even tried to lay on mom's lap like the little thing on my back so mom would give me a bottle and rub my tummy. Do you know she would not give me a bottle to drink? She would rub my tummy thou and she did save me from those three kitties.

Hello Daisy May! It sounds as though you had an eventful trip to Reno, to visit Mum's son and the little person that kept crying. The good times seemed to outweigh the bad, my friend. I didn't like the sound of the bridge though... I think that would have done me in!!! It's bad enough being able to see the water underneath, but with it swaying as well... oooerrr!!! We have a pier in England at a place called Southend, on our east coast. It's not too far from where Gissi lives. This pier is wooden, and all it has at the sides are chain fences, so that there's not much to grab onto if you slip. I'd be happy to walk on there when the tide's down... don't get me wrong... but it's quite a long pier and by the time you've slowly walked the length of it and had a coffee, the tide has turned, and walking back is a nightmare. The crested waves are almost as high as the part you're walking on, and of course, with no solid sides, you can see endless stretches of water lapping up around the sides. Scary huh? I can swim, but I still didn't fancy the consequences. Well, I'm glad you enjoyed your break, Daisy May... it was a bit of a trek for you, but an adventure, nonetheless. See you soon! Take care! x

I don't think the waves would actually come up over the pier, Daisy May, but it gave me the feeling it could. Perhaps if there's a high tide, they close the pier... I don't know. As for your bridge being up high, I don't think I'd like that much either with it swaying about. I guess the railroad bridge was less scary. Poor Dad... I bet he misses his walks but it's good for him to have a rest sometimes, I guess. Yes, I know Gissi very well. I've visited him three times and took care of him whilst his Mum was in hospital last summer. He hasn't been around a lot lately because him Mum hasn't been too well, but she's sent me a note today saying that she's getting better, and that she just has to clear her lungs again now. She'll be fine, and Gissi gets his walks just the same. Take care li'l man!

Boy darkwing it sounds like you can get washed away by the water and the waves. The bridge I walked on was up high. We also walked on an old railroad bridge that mom has walked on before. The date of the bridge is 1927. there use to be big wholes in the bridge and luckily someone patched them up. I was afraid going over that bridge also. The water was a long way down and you could see the bottom of the river. I made it thou with mom's help. One day dad even took a walk with us but dad cannot walk to far anymore. Dad has two fake hips and they do not work to well so he would slow down and mom and me would have to stop so dad could catch up. One on of our walks we saw a house that mom said the chicken coop was in better shape then the house. What ever a chicken coope is? You say you know Gissi? I hope he is doing well and when you see him the next time give him our love. Love Daisy May, Petie, Sammy and Abagail.

Your lucky your mom didn't bring that little person home! I hear that lots of people do that. Not my Meomy, but the other lady that lives here, not the big one, but the little one, she sometimes would bring this little person over and then sometimes the big lady would watch it. Not my Meomy, she says she doesn't like "babies" but that I'm her baby and her Number One Son - what ever that means.

I am sure that the cats wanted mom to bring the baby home but I am so glad that she didn't. I was afraid for a moment she would she did love the baby very much. Now we are all back to our old routine and mom took us for our 1.5 mile run today. Well lets say mom walked that far and Petie and I went even farther. Oh now I am so sleepy. Mom is taking a shower and she things I am sleeping in my basket. I need to go now I hear the blow dryer.

Hiya Daisy May...Pyewacket here...my cousin Kissy is snoozing on top of the sofa. Wow, it sounds you had a busy time of it in Reno...uh, wherever that is. Snow isn't unusual where we live, in fact we had a big snowstorm just last week but now it's all thawing so not much left of it...my mom is kind of kooky at times. She'll bring up some fresh snow and make a little itty bitty snowman for us and puts it in a dish And while it's cute, hey it's cold! aww...I wonder why Oscar was so mean to you. If you ever came to visit you wouldn't have to worry about us...although it would take getting used to since we've never been around doggies before. Sounds like you got a bit jealous with your mom having that little crying thing in her lap. Bet you're glad she didn't take it home Oops..gotta go....my mom's coming back and I need to clean the fur off of her keyboard so she doesn't suspect I've been here

Hi Daisy May! Star & Luna here! Sounds like you had a really rough trip! We are nice kittys! We wouldn't ever try to hurt you and we know you would never try to hurt us either! We would all play nice! We had lots of snow here too! But, mom would't let us go out in it. We just looked at it coming down from the window. It did look pretty! So you didn't like that little crying thing that mom was holding in her lap and giving a bottle too? We never saw one of those and I guess we are glad! Our mom lets us lay in her lap all the time! I think your mom took care of you pretty good while you were in that place called Reno. We never get to go places like that because our mom doesn't to away either. Well Daisy May, we're glad that you are back home now and are ok! Say hi to Petie for us!

Petie says hi Star and Luna. Sammy is not well she got sick while we where gone but she is getting better. You know how old kitties are they do not heal as fast as they use to. Mom says she will be fine soon. Abagail is fine and we are doing well with each other. Sometimes Abagail and I wrestle a little until mom tells me not to get to rough. OH MAN why is mom so mean? I guess that baby thing may come to visit here next mom. OH NO! I will have to share mom's lap once again. I hope they do not stay for long and I hope that baby thing does not stay long. It is so warm here I have been having mom take off my sweater and I only wear my tee shirt. I do have a nice mom she lets Petie, Sammy, Abagail and I out in the back year to lay in the Sun and yesterday mom took Petie and I on one of our really, really long runs. She walks over a mile and she lets Petie and I off our leashes. Petie sure gets far from mom I am to afraid to get to far away from mom. Mom will not let me go play in the mud in a dried up canal. She calls me out of there every time I get in there. I love to play in the mud why won't mom let me play in the mud? I guess since you do not go outside you do not play in the mud. Have a good day Star and Luna.
