How do you if a tsunami is approaching?

I can not really say if this is very accurate, but as an earthquake occurs, especially near the seashores, a tsunami might be inevitable because the sea beds control the movements of the water and all its surroundings, thereby with the occu- rence of an earthquake, a tsunami will surely takes place due to the movements made by the tremor. The seawater would be guided by the tremor so as the other sea creatures, then when the water is coming back to its former place it has to move faster than usual that it surpasses its way to the land,thereby a great catastrophe occurs and damages can not be accounted for many days because it causes chaos to the population.
