When do you start decorating fo christmas? / myLot

That's a tricky one. Like most people around here, I don't turn my Christmas lights on until after Thanksgiving. However, since the weather is usually lousy by Thanksgiving, it's best to actually do the decorating earlier.

Yes weather plays a part here in to if i have to ill put the decorations up outside earlier but just wont turn them on

Oh me too. As soon as the turkey is cold I have my hubby in the attic getting out the Christmas stuff. We have about 15 tubs of christmas decorations. I have him string lights in the trees and around the house as well. I love the holidays.

So it looks like we all are on the same time line. I havent seen anyone say before Thanksgiving. One of the reasons for this topic was becasue when we were tricker-treating we were at a house that had there artif. tree up but not decorated yet in there living room.

Your tree is beautifull. Have Merry Christmas with you babys. I know I love watching my kids and there reaction to all the lights ect ect.

Yep we start about a week or so after Thanksgiving... I love setting up Christmas stuff cuz it makes me even more excited for Christmas!

I don't start decorating until about 2 weeks before. Sometimes not even that soon. Due to the fact that all the stores have been setting out their Christmas stuff since before Halloween, I'm pretty much sick of looking at Christmas decorations by Thanksgiving. I'll start about the middle of December and leave it up until just after the first of the year.

The day after Thanksgiving. Besides I put a lot of decorations up inside and out so if me, my brother-in-law, and my sister work at it all weekend I can get about half of it done (my husband has to distract the kids).

lol, never. I can't stand the cutesy crap all over the house, so we don't decorate at all for Christmas, although I suppose I would if I had children still at home.
