I'm sleepy... and my eyes are really heavy. I can still hear the sounds outside my window, though the passing cars are very few and really annoying... When I tred to get to bed a few minutes ago, I'm so wide awake. I know I'm sleepy but the moment my head touched the pillow, I can't fall into the blessed restful oblivion lol... Now, at 4am I'm in front of my laptop, starting a discussion and my eyes are growing heavy again. I made a grammatical mistake already on the other discussion lol... I don;t even know if this is a good discussion. I'm always like this and I know I got used to it but still a body couldn't go on without at a least a good night's sleep once in a week. waaaah... Help!!! T_T

No dear, don't read a novel with many suspenseful chapters.it'll render you sleepless all night long! Choose your grade five HEKASI book and try memorizing the programs of Elpidio Quirino and compare it to the programs of Ramon Magsaysay including the birthdays of Diego and Gabriella Silang, plus the events that took place before and after commonwealth........Zzzzzzzzz

Drinking cold water works for me. Almost instantly. I have experimented it on myself because i'm not convinced that drinking cold water would put me to sleep. It did. I don't know if this will work for you but you can try. You can also try this: watch a movie on your television, preferably, it must be in your room close to your bed. Now get a chair first then watch a movie. That's for the first few minutes, around 15-20. Now, lay on your bed while watching a movie. It will make you sleepy. Again, it may not work for you but you can try.

don't believe everything he says. Even coffee makes him sleep! And milk makes him talkative! :-P He's got weird reactions to many substances. Do you know he's allergic to toothpaste? Now what kind of being is allergic to toothpaste? Haha. Kidding

lullabye and goodnight.... No, don't sing, that will wake you up. Melatonin helps, chamomile tea, warm milk (yuck), earplugs....

I use to be like that where I could not get any kinda sleep but I knew I was tried. So I tried hot sleepy time tea and a nice warm bath it seems to help me and I noticed that if you just lay there with your eyes closed even though you feel wide wake you will go to sleep. One day when I was trying to get to sleep but I felt wide awake I just laid there with my eyes closed and before I knew it the sun was coming up and I can't even tell you when I feel asleep but I did. I hope this helps.

Hi, reoko. Thank you. I tried those things but I really couldn't... well, when i posted this, I turned off my laptop and went to bed and closed my eyes to catch morpheus lol I had been on the bed for like 2 hours cuz I can see my clock's luminous numbers then sometime after that about 6am I think I've finally fallen asleep. Maybe due to exhaustion. Now I'm awake and about to get to work bleh! I'm still sleepy... But I'll find some tea this weekend in the supermarket. I hope I get to find a good one... thanks reoko... hugs... ^_^

yep exactly... some friends told me to try to exercise an hour before going to bed but that didn't work... I try to avoid coffee in the middle of the day so that it won't aggravate my insomnia lol... last night I was soooo sleepy but when I had lied down on the bed, I'm wide awake which happens all the time till exhaustion made me slip to oblivion... T_T hey, try to avoid coffee before bed hehehe... thanks for responding... hugs... ^_^

hello a, I'm a light sleeper though... I woke up on the tiniest sound lol but right now, I don't need being a light sleeper. and need more sleep if I can have it. I tried some of theings advised to me by friends before but they don't seem to work. So maybe a good consultation to the experts can solve it... sigh... As a student, you need to maximize your time and study well hahaha... I've been there so I know what it feels like to have an all nighter studying and wake up early to get to class... but you also need to think about taking a rest and relaxing to refresh your brain. Students need that most... Happy mylotting too... ^_^

hi, mermaidivy... I'm sorry you're having the same problem too. the only difference is that I just get sleepy and sluggish in the afternoon at work but after sometime I feel ok. One can only tell that I had a tough night on my eyes and sometimes my face hahaha... Maybe you should try some of the advice given by Gorjess in this discussion. I'll try some of his, too... Hey try to relax more... I hope you'll have a better sleep tonight... ^_^ hugs...
