hi, I'm from Shenyang City, China. so i totally understand what you mean and concerns. Isn't it strange that two Chinese people are communicating here in English, their second language Well, last year i was considering buying a car to enjoy life and make my work trip easy and enjoyable. Then there came the economic storm which smashed my auto dream. As the car industry is facing severe situation, i need to hold my pocket tight, because the prices of cars is droping and droping. Also, i find fun to get to work by taxi. Usually i ride a bus or even a bike for exercise. but when i'm almost late, i call a cab, though costs a little, but it is much cheaper than maintaining a car. The distance between my home and working place is around 12 km, if i drive a car to work, plusing the returning miles, that will be over 25 km a day at least. I used to ride a motorcycle, and i used to cross the street when the light was red, i often did that and caught by traffic police and paid fine every two or three months on average. So you can imagine if i drove a car ! gee ! how much fine i would pay per month ! Therefore, driving a car costs around 800.00 at least. And currently taking a taxi, 300.00 is enough for me per month because i don't go to work every day, sometimes even 200 will do.
