Car Insurance went down, go figure!

A few weeks ago I posted about my POS Doge Neon having the window smashed, to update, I traded it 2 weeks ago for a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, and added my newly licensed daughter to our insurance and the insurance dropped by almost $100 a year! A shocker and I still haven't figured out why, the car was a 4 door sedan, not a 2 door sports model, and my daughter is a 17 year old, fortunately though she is consistently on the honor role. I wondered if anyone else has noticed insurance premiums dropping and if this may have anything to do with the economy and companies trying to keep our business?
