Where is personal responsibility?

It is more and more apparent that personal responsibility has disappeared in this country - maybe in the world. Do you agree? The housing mess which prompted our government to pass massive spending bills designed to bail out homeowners was caused by PEOPLE. People wanted to live above their means so they purchased homes with little money down or with adjustable rate mortgages. They only thought about the here and now. Some claimed they didn't know how the mortgage was going to be adjusted over time. Why sign something without knowing the full content of the document? Now I do understand that there really are people who have fallen on hard times. For those people my heart goes out to them. I wish them well and I wish them to get back on their feet soon. But for all others I would like to know where their personal responsibility lies?

Personal responsibility? What is that? Oh ya now I remember the meaning of that word. Please do not say such word here fir people would be offended as they hate to hear 'personal responsibility'. It is a past thing now. We wont like to grow faster being committed to ourselves and all. We have this thing limited to household works only. S far this is applied to our jobs and duty towards the nation we feel ashamed as it would be a positive step. thanks for reminding this and we are happy not being responsible at all.
