Hi all I would like to share my opinion with you about musicians :) I don't mean to be offensive or so, it's just that I have to say this. In my opinion musicians are overpaid. Well at least most of them are, some have super bad live shows and earn millions with it, even though it was bad.. While some good musicians can't even make a buck out of it.. I don't think we should pay them less or so, but they should be able to be satisfied with less.. They have so much and still want more, not giving much about how they earn it, as long as they earn it.. Do you also think this ? Or do you have another opinion, then please share it with me :) Thx

Well I feel some are and some are not. I know most people trying to make it in the music business put in a lot of hard work and when they make it big it was worth all the trouble. But I can see your point of view as well. Like some of the stars that can not even sing. Or some that get big because their families have a lot of money or they have a close realative in the business. I guess it is something that we all other people have to deal with. But you know would I want people watching my every move and when I sip I am in all the papers and magazines no way so let them have the fame, it is not all its cut out to be. Happy mylotting and have a good day online.

Well, you don't make "millions" each show you do. Unless your popular with every 12 year old girl in america, expect 1000 at most, maybe 2500 if its a huge show. All the big bands make all the money because of the listeners... you! Every band actually enjoys playing music or they wouldn't have started in the first place, they don't just do it for the money. I don't think so. I think bands with no talent that are all the rage right now don't deserve it. And every band doesn't consist of money-hungry millionaires. I'm guessing your still a young child and don't know how difficult it is to write a song/songs that will appeal to hundreds of thousands and get your name out there.

I think the entertainment business is over paid. like you said you have some who are paid so much and are sooo bad then you have the real musicians who are under paid. We also have to consider Musicians have a special talent and effect the world in great ways, they are a big influence, bring joy, advocating moods they are entertainment and alot of people rely on music as apart of living. I for one am a singer and I can appreciate a great singer exspecially if that singer touches me with their words or a great piano player... in all I feel they should be paid good money because the world needs music...

yesyes...i totally agree with you that this kind of celebrities, special for those fast come and fast go populars. they sing not so good and even don't carry a good looking face. but they are popular for some reason. it's a strange word i think. i only admire those professional musicians who really good at something .this also turns unfair to other not so popular ones.

I have to disagree. Musicians work hard for their money, often get ripped off. If their music sells, they make the money. Writers are the same. If they don't produce, they don't do well. In my opinion, Famous actors and actresses, and pro-atheletes are horribly over-paid. Musicians and authors earn it!!

ell I can understand what you mean. But you have to consider that some of these musicians get yes good money, some deserve it, but some are really underrated in the stuff they do. The only reason why they have so much money, must mean they are talented and really good, and that people like them, god Rock Bands, certain singers. Consider that Football players are getting an obscene amount of money all the time they work, and ppl do more thn them.

To be honest I think we are underpaid. Record companies take more than 90% of the money. Maybe even more. It is a bit unfair though, for pop stars to make more just because they're pretty. Since apparently music has become a pageant as well. I mean just look at Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. They're both "okay" but they aren't very talented. Miley bought a house. WHAT SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BUYS A FREAKING HOUSE? But they probably just got famous because Disney needed "child stars"In general musicians don't make that much money. But the ones that selling themselves out to the media will get offers and royalties from left and right. Which technically is not paid for their music.
