[b]I would prefer linux, but it's not able to do all tasks...so I would go for windows...especially Windows 7...it would be a milestone when releas...but it would be too costly...[:(]

I will install only windows xp as I am familiar with this. I tried Linux four months back but as some of the program which I need are not compatible with Linux I happened to quit the usage.I did not try even a single time Mac and I have no idea about that.

I prefer Windows OS. Since I've been using it for years now, it would be the one I would still use on my new computer. I haven't tried other operating systems or maybe I have tried but just doesn't really know that I am using a computer with different operating system. Oh well it would still be Windows operating system. Since it is much popular than the others and easy to use.

Well firstly you cannot install MacOS on a PC. Although you can install Windows on Mac PC using some softwares on MacOS. If your computer is good enough on hardware fron i.e more than 2 Gb ram, Duo Core or Core2Duo processor, with good graphic card go for Windows Vista. Otherwise stick to windows XP. Linux is a good choice provided you have adequate understanding to mould it to your preferance. Otherwise stay with windows. If you plan to go for Vista opt for Windows Vista Home Premium or if it is XP then go for XP Pro. In either case make sure you stick to 32 Bit OS or else you might face a lot of Drivers related issues.

I will install Windows as my new operating system. Its because I am much more accustomed to it. And it is much more user friendly too.I can go for Vista too. But it depends.
