jesus is the son of living god,he is our eternal god,he promised eternal life because he came on the earth to give eternal life,his great promise was that who ever believes on the son of god will not perish but will have eternal life.there are many things which jesus told about eternal life,such as the water which i will give you will never thirst this was told to the samaritan women in relation the eternal life, beside this great promise there were also other promises like no body can enter into the kingdom of god unless he is born again.also suggest many more other promises which are really related to eternal life.god bless
