Do your kids' clothing sizes flat line for a while?

I noticed when my daughter was growing up, she'd go through a period where she was in a certain size for a long period of time. She stayed in that clothing size for more than a few months. I know she was in the size 12 months when she started walking, and she stayed there for a while. Now she's flatlining in the size 4. It definitely helps when this happens because you can plan ahead at times.

Can you? I mean these children grow so fast than our plan would not work for some time or so. In the beginning from year 1 to year 12, they grow very fast and when they enter teen age, then the speed gets reduced. i can remember my childhood days, My parents were always worried about my cloths. Every now and then my cloths were unfit to me. That was the reason why they didn't buy me a bicycle because soon, I would be a big guy and the cycle would become useless!

It can definitely be interesting when you're trying to cloth your child. Sometimes, when you go to buy clothing, it can be a game of roulette.

Roulette! Interesting word. i don't have a child yet, oopps, I didn't get married yet. Please please please don't scare me because I am already scared by my friends who have got married. They always tease me and scare me of me getting a child!

I have boys. They are still wearing the same jeans I bought them at the beginning of school. My 9 year old is a problem, he is tall and nothing but bones. He only weighs about 53 lbs. So I have a time finding pants that fit his legs and waist. He actually could still fit in a 6 if the legs were longer. The jeans with the adjustable bands in them were a great help, but now I do not find them in the size 9 jeans. My 7 year old seems to stay right in line with the right size. He still wears the 7 pants, once it warms up more he will stay in shorts so we do not have to worry about the lenght.

My daughter, it seems, is between sizes. I think a 4 will fit her, but a 5 does to, but she has to pull them up. She has no butt to keep them up. I know that eventually she'll fit, but it can be a trial.

My girls are growing like weeds. I just brought some clothes for my oldest that is 8 and I got it back in December and she seems to be growing out of them anyway. Now my other daughter seems to grow gradually into new sizes. She is a little smaller boned and i think that is why. My oldest is big boned like me and I feel that is why she is going through the clothes so quickly. I know at some point she will level out but it has not happened yet. Thanks for sharing this and happy mylotting to you.

I grew up fast, like your oldest. I stopped growing when I was 12, and I bet my mom was really happy for that. My daughter, she's tall, but it seems like she's small boned. Maybe she'll be like my cousin where she's going to be tall and willowy.
