I haven't spoke to my sisters for over 4 years

It's not that we have any issues or anything - my mother just passed away when I was 9, and I was the youngest out of 6 siblings. After this incident we all kind of went off to live with different relatives and we were never super close to each other. I've been meaning to call them, but something always comes up, and I'm sure that is how it is on their end as well. It's just kind of sad because I'm so much closer to my sister in laws and they are more like real sisters to me. My own sisters don't even seem like sisters. I know I should probably be the one to try to make this whole relationship closer, but I find myself so busy. I guess I can always think of excuses to justify not taking the plunge and putting in the extra effort though. Do any of you have similiar circumstances and/or how did you or how would you deal with this? Thanks so much!

I haven't had anything like that happen to me, for I am still young. But it seems like your subconscious really wants to resolve things, but you keep trying to avoid the confrontation. It looks like you don't think you're prepared for the emotional and physical confrontation. But you can't avoid it and continue to live on while still thinking "what if". You should try to contact them if they want to be contacted because it seems like you didn't just lose your mother, you lost your sisters in the process. I hope you resolve the ties! :) Have a good day! -Cil
