Tonight I decided to make a brisket. I put some homemade brisket rub on it and cut up some onions and carrots. I then put it in the crock pot and took a nice nap. I am making mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans to go with it. I think my potatoes will be done soon and I will then mash them up and add milk, butter and S&P. What did you decide on making tonight?

Hmmmm I wish I would have known I would have been over! I had fried chicken with stuffing ( I cheated it was Stove Top), mashed potatoes (no cheating) and green beans and biscuits. I'm just waiting on the German chocolate cake to cool so I can ice it! LOL

the roomie made garlic pasta and shrimp, I could've probably passed on dinner since I had both breakfast AND lunch today - but I didn't I want to say right here, there were only 4 shrimp in my pasta, because I had a problem in August and Sept of 07 with shrimp, and while I've had a few since then, I'm still worried about them.

Brisket sounds really good...I've been craving one for a few weeks now. Tonight, I made chili and cornbread muffins. My guys eat it up!! I do have to watch and make sure it's not too spicy for my youngest one though. Enjoy your brisket:)

hello moneymommy yum on the brisket that you made for dinner tonight. the complete dinner sounds delicious. and my family and myself had grilled cheese sandwiches tonight, the boys had potato chips with their sandwich and my hubby and i had tomato soup with our sandwiches. i have fixed brisket before and i bbq it and then shred it apart with two forks and it makes the best bbq sandwich that you have ever tasted before. i might have to splurge and purchase a brisket the next time that i go to the grocery store. oh yeah, i also made chocolate brownies tonight for our dessert. btw, did you have any dinner rolls or any kind of bread or a dessert with your dinner tonight? thanks for sharing. take care and have a beautiful evening.

I like grilled cheese and tomato soup, that must of been good. I always wait until the brisket goes on sale at the store. I only buy it when its 99 cent a pound or cheaper.

Nothing!...I decided to go to your house instead!.. Hope you saved me some of the brisket! Tonight I have no idea what we are going to have. It might be just a sandwich night! I was just thinking maybe a bacon, tomato and cheese would be good! Then I have more time to get back on mylot!...
