Homer and Atlas...first i have to laugh because seriously there not common names. Okay with that being said geek in my loves it. Atlas was the titan who is said to hold up the world. Its a mythology thing. Hmm if she has a daughter will she name her Artemis or Aphrodite???

I think i like Artemis better, because not only is she supposedly beautiful but the goddess of war. Also Apollos twin sister and since he is the sun god does that make her goddess of the moon?? I cant remember.

Sadly, they're everywhere. I'm not sure if they are being sort of 'new age' about the naming process, or whether they are trying to make the kid unique, but i guess its their choice. Maybe they are trying to make sure that even if the kid does not share the limelight later in life for their singing/dancing/acting etc... With those names they will be hard to forget and hopefully adopt star status. Not only will they have a prosperous life, but the birthright of stardom should see the parent's comfortable in retirement hehe ;)

now that makes sense! (so they wont have to share the limelight later)

The poor kids ..... well, I suppose they can change their names when they grow up. But imagine the teasing and ragging they have to grow through during their school years! These parents are having fun with their kids' names or are they just plain stupid?
