What is your idea of a modern man?

Would "man" pertain to only male members of the species, or does it encompass all human beings into a collective umbrella "man"? I'm guessing you mean the first. The modern male human being doesn't have to be physically strong - only physically fit. Although this is the ideal, it does not always follow. Because of improvements on technology and a latent lifestyle, the modern men tend to be FAT. Does he have to be intelligent? Of course. It's the only way for him to succeed in a society where the fruits of knowledge and ingenuity are more rewarded than the acts of the hand. Of course works of love are highly regarded - but it wouldn't give you monetary rewards unlike patents on technology, etc. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Seems to me that the Modern Man is all of the above, Strong physically and mentally as well as take care of their chidren, wife and loved ones.
