4 months needed to get a new job

There was a news article this morning saying it would take unemployed jobseekers more than 4 months to get a new job. Some are even saying it will take 7 months or longer. Jobs are getting harder and harder to come by compared to years past. I remember a few years ago, I got a new job within a week of quitting my old one, and I don't think I've ever gone longer without a job. So what was the longest period of job hunting you've ever experienced in your life?

Thats along time to wait for a job. Especially for those who have families. The longest i ever had to wait was a few months. At least though when i had to wait I had assistance so it wasn't that bad.

Yeah it really is a long time, and I just feel bad about those who lost their jobs. I mean they have to deal with the heartache of losing their previous job, then getting a new one will take time. I just can't imagine how their morale's standing up. I guess if everyone's had assistance like you did, it will be a lot less stressful for these jobseekers.

It does take some time to find a satisfing one. I have a close feeling about this, this summer i graduated , i attended countless recruitments, but i didn't have a match with companies for about 2 months. That is really discouraging!I even didn't wanto find a job then ,i thought it's really killing me to find a decent job.
