Selling Italian Charms on Ebay - Need Advice

I want to start a small business of selling Italian charms and Italian charm watches on Ebay. What is the least amount of money it takes to put an item u pfor sale? If I have up to 10 of the same design, would it be cheaper to list them in one listing (where the listing will read "9 left," "8 left," and so on)? How do I do this. It seems I tried to do it this way once, but it didn't come out right. How long should my ads run? From what day, to what day? When is the best time for an ad to end? Should I make the ad go the full 10 days? Please help. I want to do this, but I do not want to end up in the hole, having wasted more money than I have made.

If you haven't used eBay before, you're in for a shock you won't like. I've been a seller for quite a few years now and the fees just continue to go up and will never go down. It's not worth selling on eBay unless you know your items will sell. A dutch auction, with more than 1 item costs about the same to list, and the final value fees are the same. Stores are far too expensive to have unless you have enough to cover your monthly store fees, listing and final value fees. eBay is so full of fees you should just create your own website to sell your items on, it would be cheaper than using eBay. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I have tried selling on Ebay before, but nothing sold. I was selling those cell phone antenna boosters for $1 w/ free shipping. You would think they would have sold, being that they went for $19.95 on television! I know Italian charms do well on Ebay, but I am the type of person who - it does not matter how popular the item is - if I try to sell it, it will not work out. Everything I touch turns to poop. I have even tried selling things on another site, iOffer.com but still - the same thing.

Have you ever tried having someone else sell for you? Sometimes having another seller post up your auctions gets the items sold. I don't know what sellers charge for this service, but it is offered by some power sellers.

They would actually charge me more than what my items would list for; they are only Italian charms, and I am trying to beat the other seller's prices; not jack mine up...lol. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I will definitely try that if I have a higher-ticketed item to sell in the future.

Well I don't ship internationally only because it costs alot of money to ship items and most buyers don't know how much and think you are ripping them off, I always use paypal and rarely use money orders, if you use paypal it's the safest bet, I always wait until payment is received before the items are sent.

Ecrater; there is an idea! I think I will try that. I have already tried iOffer, but with no success. Thanks!
