Why do some posts get a ton of responses and others nothing at all?

It can't be that the subject matter is not of interest each time so is it because not many people are seeing the post?

So the key is having a lot of friends? I'm new (obviously!) and just been browsing for discussions that interested me, I take a look and then put my penny's worth in lol :)

There are a lot of simular discussions at mylot and sometimes they have it on people that I dont know, or programs that are not broadcasted in my country. Sometimes they use words that I dont know. So then I dont react. You must keep the englisch simple because a lot of people speak a little bit english.

I think maybe its because a lot of the same subjects are being posted multiple times and some people have already answered the same discussion once before and dont feel like doing it again. I usually answer them anyway.
