Rescued Llamas can use some help

Northeast Llama Rescue and Barnyard Sanctuary, Inc, has just stepped in to help a farmer whose property was foreclosed on. There were nineteen llamas at risk, who have now been safely transported to our facility in upstate NY. Many of these animals need veterinary care, including seven intact males who need to be gelded before they can be rehabilitated and (hopefully) found homes for. Our website is http://redmaplefarm.net -- we are an IRS 507(c)(3) charity. Please consider visiting, reading more about these animals and the rescue, and following our blog and site, which we hope to keep updated on their progress. While there, if you feel so inclined, please click the donation button at the bottom of the page. The expenses for these guys are already racking up and plan to go into orbit pretty quickly. Thank you! --Gayle-- NELR, Inc. Secretary

Oh I hope the people in your country get behind this, animals in this world today need us so bad, I sponsor a donkey rescue here in Australia and when I hear of the the things that happen to these beautiful animals it breaks my heart and the llamas would be the same, there are wonderful people who give of themselves to care for these animals but i know they need help they can't do it on their own....I hope things turn out well for the llamas...

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts. You're so right, llamas are such wonderful animals. We've had a few nice responses, and help is trickling in. They're in very loving hands.
