Build a house or buy a flat or apartment?

Hi friends... Which option is better constructing a house or buying a flat or apartment? I think constructing a house is far better than buying a flat. What do you feel? If you already have one what did you do - constructed or bought one?

I prefer building a house rather han buying an apartment or a flat.If you choose to buy a flat you will have to bear the brunt of the fellow dwellers.If you build your own house & being all alone with your family with nobody's interference its always a nice feeling.You cant talk loudly or put loud music if you live in an apartment.Its even better if you construct a house in a countryside.

I also prefer a house which is more comfortable to live in. It is bigger and easy for us to get around. We get less disturbance from the neighbourhood. We worry less about whether our activities would influence others' affairs.

If i had enough money then i would prefer to build my own house because its like fulfilling my dream and through it i will see the fruits of my hard work every part of the house as well as i can build my own design. However, it is also nice to buy a flat if in case you are still thinking of building your own or if you are still single.

With all the financial support I rather choose buying a lot and constructing my own house. Personal touch is different.

I agree.. It's much better than renting a pad which will never be yours. Having your own lot and your own house is way better because you can have your own house design without worrying too much, asking yourself "what if we'll move to another place?..." I want to invest on house and lot also.
