Is blue fire hotter then yellow fire?

What causes fire to be different colors. I saw both yellow fire and blue fire and noticed that not all flames are of the same color.

wheew! I didn't notice that the fire has two color... Why I didn't notice that?? Well, now when I saw a fire, I'll try to examine which one is more hoter then I'll come back and answer your question.. Am I sound stupid?? haha... Honestly, I really didn't notice that the fire has different colors.. Well, at least now I knew already!

It is because of the oxygen.More oxygen make fire more hot.The blue is hotter than the yellow.

afaik, the bluish part has around 12000 kelvin while the yellow part has around 3000 kelvin only. the higher the kelvin, the hotter it is...
