I've noticed quite a few times someone with 1-20 posts will start a discussion regarding a new site that from what they say is a very legitimate site, but for some odd reason, I dont buy into it, just in case its someone who runs the site they're promoting trying to lure me into a scam, and since they only have a few posts I dont believe them as much as someone with 300 posts, what about you guys do you believe someone more if they have more posts when they are referring you a site?

I would not trust him completely. I would wait for others to respond to the discussion. I will check if there are many members of mylot who agree with what the new guy is saying. I would also check the sites FAQ etc. Then only if I feel like the site is worth joining, would I join.

im right there with you, I look at what other mylotters say, to check to see if they say "I'm a member of that site and I love it" or something along those lines

None of the above, unless that member is already in my friend's list. I don't really care whether such has a few or many posts because every time I visit a site, I always make sure that it is worth visiting and my time. I always get to dig into the terms and FAQ's of each site that I would like to become a member. So the number of posts doesn't matter at all and that won't be a reliable source if that member won't scam you in the future. Or think this way too, the more post they have the more knowledge they would have had in scamming you. What ya' think of it? Could be a possibility, right? Indeed a big reality, at least in my part and to those discussions that I have participated here with the same content.
