Well, the reason it's sunny on rainy days is because there's a hole in the clouds and the sun happens to be in that spot while it's raining. The clouds are still there, so it's still raining. The sun doesn't make the clouds go away and magically make it stop raining. How do you think rainbows are formed?

I think it's because the clouds have "holes" in them. So the sun can shine from the "holes" in the cloud.... '-_-

It is the slant of the earth and sun and the size of the rain cloud. The sun is further west then the cloud, therefore shining across the raindrops and not straight down on us. It is also what causes the rainbow.

i've seen those a lot where i used to live...its common, we were surounded by mountians and when a cloud is to heavy to get over a mountian it releases rain...only a single could produces the rain, so the rest of the sky is sunny...well, thats what was explained to me.

Child hood days I heard people saying jokingly, crows are getting married that is why it rains when there is sunlight.I do not know realistically why it happens.

i think that it does that because you just start to enjoy the sun and you know something has got to ruin it so it rains!lol!
