I live in a neighbourhood which has all the possible conviences be it a shopping mall, super market, a cinema, restaurants, hospitals..., nearly every thing that makes it seem complete, all except the hair dressing saloon. What conveinences or facilites would you have liked to be closer to where you live ?

Actually I'm pretty forunate myself because there's a major world-class shopping centre only 5 minutes away from my home by taxi! Even walking to it only takes around 20 minutes. Every store imaginable is at this centre, including a cinema and bowling alley. I have a hospital less than a kilometre from me as well. I honestly can't think of anything else I'd need nearby that isn't already there. Hmmmm, a swimming complex might be nice! But then again, the international hotels nearby all have pools too. How about an Australian Restaurant? Now THERE'S something I could do with!

PS- What are we going to have on the barbie? Outback Steakhouse is less than a ten-minute drive away.

I have all the convenience you have mentioned in the vicinity of my house including the saloon. All are at walkable distance. It took me ten long years and waiting patiently to buy a house in this prime locality. This house is one of the best things that has happened to me in my life.I just can't ask for more right now.

I live in such an area where we have all the facilities of a shopping mall, a multiplex cinema hall, Nursing Home, Doctor's clinic, grocery stores, plumber's shop, electrician and almost any thing and any service is available to us withing one kilometer of range and we do have many dressing saloons in our areas and if any day I have to go for haircut and one saloon is closed due to one reason or the other, I can avail the facility of other. However, my locality has become very congested and lanes keep getting blocked with traffic, due to all these 'facilities', that is the other side of the coin.

That is the downside of it Deepak, when more than what we really require mushrooms up. And as much as we find that everything we require is available at very close proximity, the quality of living goes down due to increased traffic, noise and air pollution. Thanks

I live in the city but quite far from the hustles and bustles of city life. We have a quite neighborhood with only few houses. But I can drive to the heart of the city anytime which is just 15 minutes away from our house.

Fifteen minutes is not too far and to add to it where you live is relatively peaceful. Thanks

I live in a neighbourhood that does not have a shopping mall, super market and a cinema close by. I do not miss the cinema because we hardly go to the theatres to watch movies but I do miss a shopping mall near my house. And I wish we had better hospitals close by. I miss better medical facilities close by.

Medical facilites are important. Fortunately i have quite few of them in the neighbourhood. Thanks
