Well...last time I used it was to describe my former boyfriend's nature of not wanting to deal with...authority. I don't mean that in a disresepctful way, just that he's 27 years old, never been married or has any kids and I think he'd rather like it that way. He couldn't find love and happiness with me and he'll forever be single: thus a "free bird" to do what he wants without having someone lurking in his shadow.
