why do we have to sleep everyday?

i would like to know why we are not made in different way?so that we can go longer working spree and take rest for a longer periods.its well earned rest.its not possible at all to put one's mind at rest even when we are sleeping.i used to sleep a lot till my daughters were born.after that my hours sleep has reduced,is further diminishing.i pity the children who get up early to attend coaching,i pity the people who get up early to travel long distances to reach office in time.when we feel like sleeping we have do lots of things to take care of, so we sacrifice it.when we are able to sleep we have to do lots things for children.after we turn in to middle age its not needed to sleep full 8 hours.then we are free of duries.

We need REM sleep so the body can rest, or else we will surely go crazy and die.

Hi friend, Every day i will Sleep for 8 hours a day.When we came from office we have to take some rest.After dinner we have to sleep until early morning of the next day. For sleeping is good,relax,nice mood,night mares will come. Be happy.

It is really necessary that we give our body some hours of rest everyday. because our body undergoes a lot of exertion everyday and also stresses out, we get tired from long hours of work, it is not possible for us to stay awake whole 24 hours because we are not machines.our system needs some break and a proper rest too. when we sleep our body recovers the damaged parts and mean while rejuvenates us and energises us just like some servicing of a machinery done before it is started again next time. if we dont get a proper sleep we might end up with higer stress, exertion and pressure which might lead to serious affects on the body, this might also lead to chronic heart diseases, nervous system damage and other such serious harm to our body.

sleep is the one of the topics that concern many of the scientist around the world becaz it shows gradation from the time we r born to the time we r old.A survey shows that sleep ration is decreasing from the time Edison invented bulb.scientist say that sleep timings generally r related to light.also for a 2 hr wake up u need a sleep of 1 hr.so u can conclude that sleep is an essential part of our life it is needed to fix the part of body that were under work for several hrs. but if u want to play with u r sleep u can do that by manipulating with the rules of sleep,like some people like the radio jockeys have made them adapt in such a way that they only sleep 4 hrs a day!!!!!!! isn't that gr8.so keep experimenting with u r sleep.
