Have you ever met any online people? Do you feel your closer to them than IRL?

So recently i have met some girls that i am friends with on Bloopdiary.com.. I feel like i am closer to them than the IRL (in real life friends) .. I just feel like they know me better and its easier being able to talk to them. Whenever something exciting happens, they are always the first ones i talk to too. I'd drive HOURS away to hang out with them.
So my question is have you ever met anyone online in real person and if so do you feel like they are closer to me then my IRL friends?

Maybe you feel closer to them because they don't know you personally that's why it is easy for you to say what you feel especially if you have some problems that you wanna share with them. It's like they don't see you so no matter what they say you will not get hurt. unlike irl friends they really know u inside out that's why you're careful in your actions

Yeah, i agree with you on this. And like Jenn said, i feel like having IRL friends, everyone is busy and you dont get to see them let alone talking to them. And most IRL friends (for me that is) are people i went to high school with and i'm in a different part of my life than they are. And they want you to be a certain way. Online friends is a point of where you know that they are always goin to be there. Like on bloop. I talk about my life. And i have ppl that i have things in common with. For some reason, i just am closer to them. I def agree wtih you though.. I have one BESTFRIEND IRL that i trust with my life. She is amazing. Other than that i have friends that are just "friends" .. It's sickening to say that but its true.

I have quite a few friends I've met online that I talk to more often than I talk to my IRL friends! I spend a lot of time in the evenings online which means I'm talking to these girls almost daily where as my friends in real life, I'm lucky if I see them once a month. Most of them are in different towns than I am now. So to answer your question, yes. I have many girls online that I'm very close to and sometimes I feel much closer to them than my IRL friends!

See, thats exactly how i feel.. Online i can talk to them whenever.. And it goes OUTSIDE of online because you can text/call them as well.. :)

i have met someone, actually here on myLot, although we haven't met each other i feel like she is something that i can keep as a friend in real life.

There are a few that I've met online that I feel closer too..prbly because I've never met them and our level of conversation is tends to be totally spiritual..I think I like keeping it that way because I think if I met them, I may be disappointed or vice versa. But on the other hand, we've discussed meet ups but nothing was ever set in stone.
