Do you own an ipod or an mp3?

Which of the two do you prefer? I have an ipod nano and a mp3 player. I prefer the ease of use of the ipod but find the transfer of files a nuisance especially since I have to use itunes to do it. It is easier to transfer music files onto a mp3 player. Which of them do you prefer? How much memory does your mp3 have?

Owning a mac I've had a few ipods over the years. I had the video one, sold it and downsized to a mini, sold that and now I have a nano so that I can run and not worry about it skipping. I definitely don't listen to as much music as i used to so I dont use it as much.

same here, grantw. I use it when jogging and the ffwd and pause buttons are nifty enough to operate even when we are moving, which is a good thing

I didn't get an ipod for the primary reason of the music transfer. Matter of fact, my best friend just made me a cd and I can't transfer the files because I don't have an itunes account. I prefer my Zune 80gb. It allows me to hold EVERY bit of music that I own, a couple of movies that I rotate through, all the pictures that I care about, and some pretty awesome podcasts. The zune program is an easy platform and makes syncing music easy. The only thing that is a downside to zune is that you can't sync your zune to multiple computers and transfer all of your music. My best friend has a creative zen. And he absolutely loves it. He can sync all of his music to any computer and his file transfer is are simple and easy. He can hold 80gb as well. I believe it even has a calendar. The down side is that its bulky, big, I mean HUGE. But that also has the benefit of a large screen. HUM....LOL. So if you are going to change away from Ipod, I recommend either the Zune or the Zen. Good luck to you and let me know which one that you prefer.

I have an Ipod video, 30G. I HAAAAATE having to use iTunes, but I do love my Ipod. I use it every day. My bro has a Zune, and from what I can tell, it actually looks nicer than my Ipod, even though I haven't used it. But again, I have an "old" Ipod, so I think the newer touchs and stuff are better.

One thing I hate about the iPod is the scroll wheel. I can never land on the thing I want. The nice thing about the Zune is that it just has buttons. Also, you can watch widescreen videos by flipping it (a Zune) sideways, whereas my iPod's screen is like 2 inches by 1 inch, so kinda inconvenient to watch movies.... The only thing I don't like about Zune is that it's made by Microsoft. Apple's stuff may be expensive, but it's good. Microsoft's is, well....not as good....like my bro couldn't load music on his Zune for like a month because the Zune software crashed and I had to fix it for him.

I have an Ipod classic. It is really quite difficult to add songs especially videos in Ipod, it's time consuming especially the adding of videos. but i still prefer it because because of its features and memory.

they all are the exact same thing. yes itunes is hard. with a zune or sansa or something regular you get the same thing as if you were buying an ipod. the difference is that it is 100$ cheaper
