Political power and influence is the price of being a leader may it be a country, a city, a town or a simple community. Many of us think that when your on that seat everything is at your hands and you have control over it. you can do whjatever you like to make your personal ambitions grow and interests expand. Many political figures nowadays are abusing the power vested in them, all they see is how to claim all the riches they can have while in power. They forget they have a mandate to serve the people they lead. If I am given a chance to lead my city, as Mayor, I would remove all unnecessary taxes imposed to my people. Lower tax rates, create jobs, draw investments into my city, provide a good health care program and facilities, and be a good role model to my constituents. I would keep in mind that my people are higher than me they just chose me to represent them and be a guide to the improvements of their lives. Being a mayor is to be a servant to the people not a monster or ruthless landlord to deplete the people of riches.
