So seems like San Francisco has a problem. They have a person who is torching porta-pottys. No kidding. It melts them down to the grown. Clorox is upset about the lack of respect this shows toilets and has offered a reward for information about the arsonist. I saw it on the news yesterday, couldn't help but laugh especially when they interviewed the local residents who talked about setting up neighborhood toilet watches. Story even made it to the BBC--check it out. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7956981.stm (not a referral link). So what do you think about the toilet torcher?

He needs to go to jail. I'm hard on crime. He has done $50,000 in damage. That's a lot of money. Why would anyone torch toilets? It's just plain stupid.

I think he poses a hazard to the people around the toilet's he is torching and around California fire is no joke. One spark can destroy a whole neighborhood. I hope they put him in jail as well. Who knows why people do what they do.

San Francisco is very densely packed. A fire could easily spreed to many homes. It's a real worry. I remember the big fire in the East Bay. A whole neighborhood went up in flames.

well..when he lights one with a good amount of methane buildup,he'll stop typical vandalism, really.if it wasn't that,it'd probably be something else. ..unless they have a toilet grudge.

Indeed. Who knows maybe he thought they were an eyesore? He is hitting mainly toilets associated with construction sites.

Gah, that's really terrible! Imagine the smell and the mess. Why would someone do that? I don't see the point really. I feel sorry for the person who has to go about cleaning them all up and (I suppose) scraping the loos away. Yuck!

I know. It really is a danger, the fire could move on to something else, not to mention the fumes that would put off. I don't why someone would want to do that. Seems like they could find something more productive to do.

Anyone who would do such a thing as burn toilets, Aurone, must have some deep-seated issues. They do serve a purpose, and the only objection I can associate with them is that maybe some are filthy when not used properly.

What is the world coming to? When your potty is been torcher. Is it there no shame. You have to really think. Is it the economy? Or just bad poop? Funny story.
