What Can I Do With An Extra Computer?

For the majority of my life, I have had laptops. Today, I purchased my very own computer from Sam's Club for the first time. I still have a laptop which I use for school and now have the chance to do something with two computers. If anyone has any ideas for what I can do with both, or even some tricks for computers, let me know.

Well, in our two bedroom apartment we have 5 computers working and hooked up. We use one in the living room for watching movies and tv shows, it's hooked up to a big screen tv. Two computers in our boys's room that way they can each play games when ever. And one in the main bedroom so I can do my work and we can watch movies on it when we go to bed.
Each of the computers is hooked up to the network so we are able to access any one of them from the other. On the computer in the living room we have quite a few movies on one of the harddrives. By having it on the network we can watch movies from it on the compouter in the bedroom without using up any of my harddrive space for the same movie.

How are you able to access the other computers on your network? My school can do that to our computers and I have always wondered how that is possible because it is our own laptops from home.
