This will become a complicated situation because if you really dont do any thing to make your mother proud, then just better to agree to the fact and do some thing to make her proud but even though, if you do some thing good and your mother ignores atleast me, feel very awkward and irritated and i would surely discuss this situation with my mother personally and also ask her reason for this behaviour.

i dont know..did not feel jelousy in my family.for me it was level no favoritism.maye it was only your imagination.of course parents appreciate it but dont show it.

thats natural you get jealous with your sister especially in that situation. but the sacrifices that your mother did in your childhood is enough not to get jealous. there are times may be she had favoritism but its natural. im sure its not all the time. just continue do good things and im sure you're mam gonna be proud of you some day.
