You wanted to know which type of camera is the most popular in the USA? Canon sell more cameras than all other brands combined in the USA and world-wide (yes, including in Japan, where last year they outsold Niko 2:1). That is true across most camera types: Compact, DSLR and Full-Frame SLR. The Medium Format and Large camera markets are another story, but with starting prices around $US30,000 without a lens, that isn't likely to interest us mere mortals. Which is the best camera? Different question. I think the best full frame on the market today has to be a toss-up between the Canon 5 MkII and the Nikon D3. If the Canon didn't sport true High Definition Video, I'd say the Nikon. And where would I put that great 700D? In the Semi-pro area, I put the Canon 50D ahead of the Nikon D300, but it's a toss-up, and I could argue the case for either being top-dog. Nikon's D90 has to be in there, too. Below that, the entry to mid level systems, the Canons and Nikons are all great, but probably Canon offers more innovative, better value cameras....but not by much, and the value offered by Olympus, Pentax, Sony, Panasonic and others is phenomenal. Personal preference is the big winner here.... you just have to try them and see what you like best. Down to the compacts, and it's Canon and Panasonic ahead of Nikon and the rest, but with some outstanding offerings that buck the odds and raise the standard from many smaller companies. As to your camera not delivering good color, go into the set-up menu and change the saturation and sharpness until it works the way you want it. You don't have to put up with the factory default setting.

I have been happy with my Polaroid, It has been a good camera for the past 2 years. I just wish the batteries would last longer in it.

Here in Japan, Nikon is the most popular brand. The images from a Nikon camera are very unique with superb quality and color. I saw my friend's flickr images captured with a Nikon camera and it's really amazing (comparing with images of a Canon or other ones). I also have plans of buying a DSLR camera. I'm aiming for a Nikon D90.

My current camera as well as my last one was a Kodak easy share and I have been happy with these. Before buying the Kodak I had a digital Polaroid and it was ok too but I am really happy with my kodak.

I use a canon. It is probably the best camera I have ever owned.
