What would you do?

If you started a new job and hated working there? I recently took on a second job. Everyone has been very supportive and well wishes me, but the true is I hate the job. The hours suck and I dislike my co workers. The business is very poorly run. It has only been open for a few months but I will be surprised if they are still running it in five years. It is just a minimum wage job and I can survive without it but I will feel like a failure if I quit and we can use the money. What would you do, tough it out or quit?

That's a hard question to answer Vicki. On one hand you hate the job, but on the other your family can use the money and you don't want to look like a failure. I think if I were in your shoes I would try and stick it out, but look for a better job when I could to take it's place. Of course, that is easier said than done in times like this, but you never know unless you try, right? Good luck on whatever you decide.

Thanks a lot I am going to keep trying. They have given me a schedule now so I hope that it will help me. But I will keep my eyes open for something else too.

I'd be on the look out for a better job and stay there while looking. But then again I probably wouldn't be able to stay for very long if I didn't like it. I'm just that kind of person.

It is difficult staying and I end up venting and feeling bad when I come home. I am going to look out.

Hi vicki...I think I would tough it out for awhile to see if things improve. However if you truly hate going there I would quit. I think I would find something else first before I quit but it can't be healthy for you to be that miserable.

I agree that I should try to give it a chance too but I agree to look for something else just in case. Thanks
