I'm really considering changing my cell hone carrier. It's expensive and there are better plans out there, I currently have Sprint. My husband thinks it's dumb to stay with them now that our contract is up BUT I really like the new sprint lg lotus and can't find any phones I like at other places. What would you guys do?

Just because you have the sprint lg lotus does not mean that you can't use it with other service providers. Phone manufacturers normally make a phone specific for different phone companies by marketing that phone as the Sprint Lotus when they just simple derivates of the original LG lotus, minus the phone company name. Sprint really made me upset a long time ago so I switched one my contract was over and I was with Nextel before the merge for almost 8 years. Now I'm with T-mobile and I would have to say other than the occasional dropped calls, that I love their services. Anytime I call customer service I feel like everyone there took a happy pill. The staff has been helpful and pleasant and I get less dropped calls then I did with Nextel/Sprint. For the most part overall I have had less problems with plans, billing, and anything else that mom and I signed up for a special plan and with with two plans together we save SOOO much money. Good luck to you finding the right phone carrier. Let me know if you find the perfect one. I would check to see what other phone companies cover the LG Lotus...just leave out the sprint title out off that.

Actually according to other cell providers i can't use a sprint phone and the lotus is a sprint exclusive. Some types of phones you can switch out the card and get a different provider but not sprint phones, or at least that is how I understood it. I don't have any call problems with sprint I just think they are overpriced but I really want this phone. Anyone know of a phone that is similar?
