Yes, Virginia, fish DO have birthdays!

Oh, father Christmas, do tell us true. Do fish have birthdays? Why yes, of course, little Virginia, fish have birthdays every year just like you do! And they have little fishy cakes and yummy fishy ice cream and even little fishy presents too! What's that you say? You know a fish who's 51 years old today?????? My goodness, Virginia, that's a pretty old fish. Someone must be taking very good care of that particular fish. Yes, father Christmas, there IS someone taking very good care of that fish. And not just one someone, but many someones! One shoos him off to bed, one spanks his bottom when he misbehaves, and one talks to him every day and that makes everyone very happy, father Christmas. And you know what's really cool, father Christmas? He reads US stories!! Yes, really, he does, he does. Wonderful stories and they make us feel all warm and gushy inside, just like we're all teddy bears or something. We love our fishy more than any other fish in the whole wide world. And his birthday is just the best day of the year! After all, it's the day he was born into this world and that was a very happy day indeed. Happy Birthday, little fish. I love you.

Oh yes, of COURSE they do! Hmmmm, but what do you get as a present for a little fish that has EVERYTHING? I guess heart congratulations will have to suffice until such time as I can make a decision on that front..... I send a very Happy Birthday greeting to the little fish with the heart of a whale!

VERY well said, James! The little fish with the heart of a whale. So true, so true. And I think that this particular present, from all of us, is going to more than suffice. He's gonna love it. Oh MY Nova now that is a surprise - I thought the fish's birthday was NEXT month - this is getting serious , I am always getting things confused these days! I do hope that the wonderful little fish had a wonderful birthday and that he will forgive me for getting things wrong AGAIN xxxx

birthday! I guess you are more privy to that info then I! And
I really do appreciate you telling us that! He is the most
wonderful fishy person in the whole wide world! And he is
probably the most loved fish that there ever was! I love
him so much too! So I want to take this opportunity to wish
him the very happiest of birthdays! Happy Birthday my favorite
