I have never been to Las Vegas but want. Where would you recommend that I stay as far as not expensive and nice inside. What would you suggest I see when I go?

lets see what i can remember been 5 or 6 years now. they had a huge outdoor pool i never got in it cause i burn easily and it was soooo hot out i just wanted to stay indoors. they have a nice indoor spa which i took advantage of. the casino was nice too and they had alot of different places to eat. they gave us coupons for different places in the resort restaurants and such was really nice. the wedding was nice too cept i had to give up my room so we could keep my sister and brother in law to be away from each other the night before the big day. dont ask me how much it costs though cause i didnt pay so i dont have a clue.

Check out a site like Orbitz or Priceline... I recommend staying on the Strip. The rooms are a little more pricey but you will make up for it by not having to take a cab or shuttle to and from the Strip every day and if you want to go off Strip to see something you can always rent a car for about $40 a day. I've been looking a lot lately and I've noticed that Circus Circus, the Excalibur and the Stratosphere are the cheapest on the Strip. Circus Circus is an older casino/hotel so it's not as flashy inside as the MGM Grand or the Bellagio but it's not run down by any means. And being one of the older ones it's more toward the north end which is both good and bad.... you aren't starting in the middle and working your way out but when you get to the south end you then have to make your way back to your room at the end of the day.... As for sights, I say pick one show that you really want to see (I'd pick the Blue Man Group but that's just my preference) and buy tickets for that. There are so many free shows all along the Strip all day every day that you will be well entertained. My favorite was the pirate show at Treasure Island but only because we didn't get to see the dueling show at the Excalibur, which was my favorite casino...the Excalibur and the Mirage. The Secret Garden in the Mirage is pretty amazing too, especially if they still have the white lion.... He was AWESOME. He looked like a marble statue.

I love Vegas. My daughter and I go every year for a vacation from our normal home life. Have been going to L.V. since the early 60's when I lived in Los Angeles and it was just a 4-5 hour drive. Now live in TN and have to fly, but still love that city. Best shopping, restaurants, shows in the country. If you are on a budget I would suggest you book a hotel downtown rather than the Strip. Not quite as glamorous but public transportation in Vegas is superb. The Golden Nugget is an excellent downtown hotel and they have good specials quite often. For eating you might want to try the Paradise Buffet at the Fremont and don't miss the Fremont Street Experience. Definitaly spend some time on the Strip as well, but hotels there are pricey albeit exquisite. Check out a website called: http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/ you will find all of the information you ever wanted to know about Las Vegas. And is is accurate. Have fun and good luck!

I have stayed at the Flamingo and the Excalibur. Both were very nice and well-priced. They are both on the strip. They are not really themed or really fancy but you only sleeping there. You can get some great packages there.

I have been to Vegas once a year for the past 4 years. Each time but the last I stayed at Mandalay Bay. Last year I stayed at the Luxor. The Luxor is very very cheap with rooms around $38. I was there for business each time, but did get to see the Blue Man Group in the Venetian and take in the sights on the strip. http://www.earlyvegas.com/deals.html has some great deals on entertainment in Vegas. Please remember to be safe if you go!

I would recommend the Paris hotel. It is beautiful inside, all of the casino games that you would want, plus many great restaurants. The fanciest place on the strip is the Bellagio. Great to walk around in, but extremely expensive for a room.
