here on mylot with the ratings system, when you respond to a discussion do you change your response or not say something because you think it might be unpopular and people might mark you negatively ? Or do you say whats on your mind whether it might go againist other people thoughts or opinions and risk them rating you negatively ?

I'm true to yourself. MyLot is "democratic". I don't lie to myself. Since I new here I always respond with my heart. Not just an alibi or something.

yeah defo think mylot would be spoilt if people just wanted to get positive rating's lol, as its a discussion site and it be boring if we all had the same opinion.

I say always exactly what I think. I am just the same offline too. I don't like 'fake' people who are one thing one day and one thing the next just for the sake of appearance or depending on the company they are keeping. I am me wherever I am, online or off, regardless of being rated or not. I try not to be rude but I say things the way I truly feel about them.

I don't really give a hoot about popularity or my rating on here. If people are afraid of honest answers or opinions then they should not post a discussion that may receive a response they don't like. I find it funny when someone posts a discussion asking a particular, usually controversial, question and then they get fired up when they receive a rsponse that does not agree with their own feelings. Don't like the answer, don't ask the question.

I am true to myself when responding to others discussions. I am the sort of person that cares about people's feelings. I realize that we are all different and that is the interesting thing about life. I like to express my own opinions. By the same token I am keen to hear others ideas. I am pro-life and feel strongly about that and if someone wants to rate my response negatively it might be because it is a very touchy sort of topic.

Hi, benny128! Most of the time, I will just say what is on my mind! But, there are times that what I have to say may come out as mean and nasty. So, I will just make my post in a respectable way, still saying how I really feel, but in a nice way. That is what I will do. Sometimes, I don't want to be rated nagatively, but I can't stop what people will do to me. But, I will try to say it in a way that is not nasty or rude. And if I really disagree with them, I will just rate them negatively!
