Moral of the Story: Don't Cram

Psychologists have proven that it's easier to recall information when you space out learning. They argue that when you study/learn at different times, you experience an array of moods and study in different places. When you test, you are bound to be in one of those moods, places, etc and will therefore, do better. Moral of the story: don't cram. Do you agree with this? Are you a "cram the night before" student? If so, do you think you do better this way? If not, how do you budget your time throughout the week & how long do you study a day?

The effect of cramming depends on kinds of exams. Some exams just need cramming for a not-bad score. And the others demand hard works daily. To my thinking, cramming is not suitable for me.I am not able to digest so much information in such short time. What`s more,I insist that cramming may be helpful for exams, but unfavorable to learn knowledge. After all, having a good grasp of a subject needs accumulation.

I never had crammed at night time during my education period. I never believed in studying sacrificing sleep. I always believed in keeping my mind fresh to study and remembrance. I loved to study whenever I am fresh minded and not haunted by any tension. I used to study once a topic, but used to recollect it quite often in the form of narrating to other friends, teaching them, helping them to get out of their doubts etc. It really helped me and I was a gold medalist most of the times in my college days!

I always studied the night before a test (and wrote my reports the night before they were do) and I never failed or got a bad grade. I always got As on my exams and papers. Different people learn differently. What works well for me may not work at all for somebody else.

Angry kitty's right. People learn differently. In fact, I'm opposite to angry kitty. I review before the test like 1 hour or so and I still got a high grade, Sometimes I'm even with the highest. Even if we cram, there's still our stock knowledge. Happy posting guys!.

Cramming is effective for me. I often study the night before or even hours before the exam. I get high grades even if I cram. I guess it varies among people.
