What is your typing speed?

Last time I tested I was at 75 wpm. Not too bad considering I havent worked in almost 2 years now. Usually when I am working I am out of work I type less and without the day to day typing at a job my numbers go down. My ksph however were at 12800 so thats not too bad either. So how fast do you type? My husband types with one hand and usually one finger and he is at 15wpm...lol
We tested it on brainbench.com a few weeks ago just because we were online and had nothing to do....

my average typing speed is around 25 to 35 words per minute, i know that i still have to practice more since i'll be needing that in the near future. i download KIRAN typing tutor to enhance my typing speed and it really helped me a lot.
before i downloaded KIRAN my typing speed was about 18 to 25 words per minute and that was still looking at the keyboard and after using KIRAN my typing speed improved and i wasn't looking in the keyboard anymore.

You will get alot of practice from typing on here Im sure. I know mine goes up if I type daily. I still find myself looking at the keyboard...

i'm not sure what my rate is exactly, but i type really fast, and it's usually pretty accurate too lol. i tried to go to that site to see how fast i type, but i can't find out where you take the test...where is it? lol.

they have some on brainbench.com that I usually use. also I just look up free typing tests and get some good sites from those too.

Wow, that's definitely fast!
Personally, I haven't been able to determine my typing speed for quite sometime now. I remember when I was still a first year student in college, I took up 2 units of Typing course. We were given techniques and training to develop mastery of typewriter keyboard by hands, along with several typing jobs which we have to finish within the allotted time of 1 full hour.
Normally, most of us found it difficult to comply with our professor's requirements during the first few months. Eventually, some of us were able to achieve mastery of the keyboard and attain a typing speed which was not exactly that of a lightning speed but was fair enough.
And primarily due to the several years of absence of typing practice on my part, my typing speed naturally slowed down. At present, the only practice I derive from is here in mylot community so I'm definitely thankful for this wonderful site; aside from the extra earnings I get from here. By now, I think I have a slow rate of 15 to 20 words a minute.

I just tested and it showed my speed was 87 wpm. I made 5 mistakes during that test! lol I don't believe I could keep that up all day long at a job though!
