Has anyone heard of the Conficker virus that is suppose to be live tomorrow? I am not sure if I should use my computer because I really don't want my computer to have problems again. What about you?

same. i have two current anti-virus programs running simultaneously on my computer, but from what i've heard, this virus will get past practically all programs in existence now. i guess to avoid it, do we just stay off our computers tomorrow? i'm not really sure. even if our computer isn't initially affected, if it affects a friend's it could still run through our files. hmm, what to do? :/

I have always been told that running two anti-virus programs at the same time would cause conflicts and that you could end up with less protection than if you just ran one.

oh, really? :/ when i was trying to figure which i should get, i came across a lot of reviews of people saying they used AVG and clamwin's free versions together. so far i haven't had any problems(*knock on wood*), but this is good to know. thank you!

I'm on my laptop today, and its completely fine and so are many other peoples computers, i think it was just some big april fools joke or something, i wouldn't worry about it if i were you. I thought it was suspicous that it was gonna happen on april fools day.

Haven't even heard about it. Can you give me some info? I don't use antivirus at all and I never catch a virus.

I haven't heard about it, but unless it is a specific date targeted virus, just not using your compuer tomorrow will not really do much to help since it could still be running around long after tomorrow. The only thing that might help would be to not used your computer until you are sure a defense is available and then install that before you allow much exposure.

I've heard about it. I'm going to make sure my updates are done and my virus protection is up to date. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to do. I don't know if I will use my computer or not.
