hey!! dear mylotters. Do you believe in fate? ,that "Que Sera, Sera", Translated as what will be, will be. I know some people who are hardcore believers in fate and still some are those that thinks that "You are the maker of your own destiny" and that destiny is what you make of yourself. I have always been puzzled by this, though. Take the case of the microsoft founder, Bill Gates who is originally a school drop-out, do you think he made it in life because it was fate or do you think it was what he made of himself, that his shear personality was what have made him the richest man in the world. And there is a saying, "great man are born not made" do you support it? Take another case, some guy had an accident and died while driving home because he took a wrong turn at a road where he have traveled his whole life. Do you think he died because he took a wrong turn ( ie his own fault) or do you think it was his fate to die that day. I know you all will have different answers but i certainly am interested in what your answer will be and if you provide some more explanation to support it then that will be awesome??

I believe we all have choices, yet the good Lord already knows the choice and path you are going to take. Like for my friend, she was with some of her friends, they brought along a "new" friend and they all were hanging out. They left and this "new" friend left his wallet. Well, she found a number inside and called it to let this "new" friend know she had his wallet. This "new" friend didn't answer it was his roommate. My friend and this roommate met up and to make this story short, they are now married with two boys. If that wallet was never left there, I do not believe she would have met her husband and I believe that was fate/destiny. It was meant to be. Today, she still says "it is what it is" I always believe things happen for a reason, and many times, we don't catch it until it is too late.

In your case some will say that fate brought them together. And I also believe that some out of ordinary things happens for a reasons and its only the god given wisdom that will make you realize the moment and seize it and make it yours.

I sit back and see where I could have made different choices and wonder also if I was supposed to take the other path. Yet, He knows which one I would take ahead of time and knows what I am thinking, doing each movement, still today though, i think about my own destiny and hope it is a good one :)

Not at all!! I feel, all the happenings in the world are a part of a 'randomized machine'. No one really has got any control over anything. AND PUH-LEEZ there's no GOD or anyone around alright? Yeah, there are too many coincidences happening. And some might argue that coincidences also are a part of fate. Well, I beg to differ. The so called fate is designed by some 'God', at least someone knows what's in store (the same 'God')and so on; unlike coincidences. !!

I guess Im a middle of the line believer. I believe in both fate and destiny. I feel that destiny offers us choices and depending on what you choose you choose your own fate. I believe that for every option there is a different outcome. So its just a matter of choosing right.

Hi, I belive that there is definatly something called as destiny. But one cannot or should not depend or wail about saying that whatever has or has not happened to him was his destiny. Like for example I would say that two brothers of the same parents grows up together getting the same kind of education moral values, teachings etc but they would grow up to be altogher different individuals. I belive every one of us has a pre defined destiny. There is this saying in our country that more than what you deserve and before the time that you deserve one has never got and shall never get.

Sometimes I believe,Sometimes not.Fate is given to us when we entered the world. We go on our fate, eventhough we make decisions by ourselves.
