I am so hard on covers but there have been a few that were great. The first one that comes to mind is Gyneth Platrow and Hughie Lewis' version of Smokey Robinson's "Crusin". In fact I like it better than the original. But if anyone tries to sing Piece Of My Heart other than Janis Joplin I will not listen to it.

NO. Even those sorry excuses for songs they call 'revivals?' They annoy me so much. It's frustrating how some bands [I am sorry, but--MYMP is an example] exist only to revive the classics, which are totally good the way they already are.

Why not?! As long as that artist would bring justice to my favorite song... but if he/she butchered it then why would I still listen to his/her single. No way man

I think I wouldn't like it because I almost always like a song's combination of artist (their style, their voice, their uniqueness) - then having songs remade over and over again seems to me like some artist's lack of creativity, except of course if he made the song completely unrecognizable from its original like what New Found Glory does with old songs. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

As long as they don't ruin in then yea its great. There has been some aweosme covers over the years. Chris Cornells cover of billy jean and leona lewis' cover on snow patrols Run.

Well, it depends on the performance of the artist but still, original is the best... =p

well it all depends on how he will be delivering the song. for example regine velasquez singing aerosmiths i do wanna miss a thing is not a good rendition. didnt work out for me. i heard adam (forgot his surname) one of the contestant of american idol singing play that funky music.... i find his own rendition a two so it all depends of how they are going to sing it.

Depends on the quality of the singer that covers "That" song. If an awful singer cover my favorite song, I would kill him/her.. No No No I'm just kidding lol I wouldn't kill him/her. Like I said. If it's an awful singer I don't mind it and just keep listen to the original artist. I might like it if the singer is good. I know some songs cover and I mostly prefer the cover than the original artist.
