Are you for or against the idea of a "One World Currency"? Is this one of the solutions to the worldwide economic recession?

if the one-world currency is defined as creating a NEW currency that would best fit and acceptable by all the countries, it can be a solution. however, if the situation for example is like the one world currency will adopt either the USdollar or UKpounds currencies or any other currencies in the world, i think we should also be open on the idea of having a one-world leader :)

i don't think this would even help in a recession. the recession is due to a lack of funds available. making one form of currency the standard for the world would not do a thing about that. you can't just create money, so the world not be any richer. if we could create money any time we wanted to, we wouldn't be in this pickle we are in now, and so many places would not be in debt. i'm not for or against it. i can see good and bad to it. good, it would probably make it easier to understand the values of things better in other countries. i'm not wording this how i want to lol, but what i mean is that you wouldn't have to convert from unit-to-unit. it would all be standard. less time-consuming and confusing, especially for people who would be traveling to another area and absolutely not familiar with the money system. bad, forms of currency are part of the culture they belong to. making a universal unit would just be taking away from cultures all across the globe. i guess, all in all, although i see the benefit i listed above, i just say to leave it as it is.
