Have you seen people dressed up, look at their feet and they have on flip flops?

I was at church and I saw a young lady in a very nice dress and she had on flip flops with it! It was very funny looking to me. Maybe if she had color matched it would not have looked so weird. Anyway it was good she was there. It wouldn't have mattered if she had bare feet, God didn't care about her feet.

LOL My youngest brother is like that, he loves wearing flip flops. I might add that he has huge feet so they are probably way more comfortable then regular shoes. What gets me though is he will even wear them out in the middle of winter when we have lots of snow on the ground. If he's going somewhere formal, my Mom will make him wear regular shoes. I know what you mean, I know I couldn't do it. We live in Missouri so we get quite a bit of snow here too. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

My daughter in law does that. I mean wearing flip flops in the snow. My feet would be freezing.

lol, flip flops with a nice dress? Poor dress, it must have been crying out for help to be matched with proper shoes! lol...Maybe she was in a hurry, can't find her shoes and she figured oh what the heck...and went off in her old flip flops...lol..

Yes, I think flip flops are really popular these days. I see a lot of young people wearing them with everything. I have started wearing those kroc type shoes myself. I thought they were so ugly....and they are but really comfortable. I am so use to seeing them now they don't seem as bad.

I always thought the crocs were ugly too. I haven't gotten a pair for myself yet, but I have been thinking about it for working in my garden. I could just hose the mud right off. That would be a positive for me. :)

Some flip-flops are actually styled to be dressier with decorations on them and such. My best friend usually goes for this type of flip-flops with a dress, because she just can't find dress shoes that fit well. But what bothers me is the cheap rubber and plastic flip flops. I think they're ok for casual wear or the beach, but with a dress? No way. It also makes me cringe that for the past few weeks most of the girls at my university have been wearing flip-flops to class- despite the fact that it has been SNOWING on and off for the past week! Obviously, going to college has nothing to do with having common sense.

I have seen some of the dressier ones too. The ones I have been noticing though are the cheaper ones that are pretty dirty. I just don't see wearing that with dressy clothes. I am in a college town too, so I guess you are right about common sense not being a requirement. LOL :)

LOL you are right. Yes I have seen it some times. I don't like it seems like if someone after dressed up forgot to wear the shoes. Perhaps those people have problems with their feet and can't wear shoes or maybe only bad taste LOL. Cheers and have a good night.

Yes, I guess they could have a foot problem. I didn't think of that. Thanks.

I have been guilty of this myself, I do try to match them though. I know that it not considered dressy but if I am going to be on my feet then I need to be comfortable. I am going to buy more flats so that I can look more profesional. It doesn't bother me when I see it unless it is in a school or other place that I expect to see people dressed profesionally (when I am in these places I wear real shoes and forgo comfort) :( In these places it just seems to out of place.

I think I would choose comfy flats before flip flops if it was any work situation. Otherwise flip flops would be ok. Thank you.
