hi..te barvie well, you have to really separate your savings first before buying things that you needed. it is called paying yourself first. and what is left is your budget for the week. happy saving!

We don't plan to save, but we plan the expenses and keep some amount as reserve, for unexpected expenditure. We have a cash-chest like box with at least 12 compartments. In each compartment we've written the item name like 'Grocery', 'Milk', and so on. We put the approximate money required for that item in that compartment. After apportioning all the items, we put the remaining money in the 'Reserve' compartment. We take the money from the respective compartment and put the balance back in. Anything remains in the end of the month is savings. Approximately it comes around 3% to 5% only, not 15%. At least we are happy that our insurance premium is covered in the monthly expenses.

well i'm just trying to save what ever i can save. its not some thing that i have a percent that i have to get, its more what ever money i have left after getting and paying for every thing that i need i save the rest. its hard to save money now that things seem to get worst. it doesnt seem like i get any where or that i save a lot.
