Whats the difference between loving your parents and loving your partner?

loving your parents is more of how they treated you when you were young.. you just give them back the love that they have given you. You love your partner more becoz they were always there to support you and stay with you at all times.

Hi, according to me, though Broadly we call both as Love, they are different & should not be compared.It is for simple reason that comparing these two we'll be de-meaning them,their true values. Love for parents is mixed with deep RESPECT & Satisfaction. Love for Partner is mixed with Passion & Understanding. Both are 'Great' in their respective places. =Lahiri,Kolkata,India.

HI there ..well in my opinion .. everytbody has its own place .. nobody is perfect .. so its not worth choosing sides .. dont leave ur parents for ur partener and the vice versa .. whatever the situation is first sort it out .. your parents are the person who raised and because of whom u what u r today .. on the other hand u partner is also a person who loves u dearly . all the persons love u bt in different way .. if there are problems .. first sort it out and if by any chance u have to move out also .. be in touch with ur parents .. tell them u love them .. cause i have seen cases in which its better to keep relation frm a distance .. that doesnt mean u stop loving them or choose one over the other .. its just in the interest of both of them.. depends on situation !! u r the best judge wht to do ..analyse it and then take the step
